What is the fire resistance strength of clay bricks?

Clay brick is a refractory product that is widely used in many thermal equipment such as blast furnaces, hot blast furnaces, ladle linings and steel pouring systems. This kind of brick is made of clay (including shale, coal gangue and other powders) as the main raw material, and is made of clay after processing, shaping, drying and baking. It is divided into two types: solid and hollow. Depending on the alumina content in clay bricks, their refractoriness and other physical and chemical indicators will also be different. The alumina content of intermediate fire clay bricks is between 35% and 40%, and its refractoriness is 1670-1730℃.
In addition, the refractoriness of clay bricks is comparable to that of silica bricks, up to 1690~1730°C, but the load softening temperature is more than 200°C lower than that of silica bricks. This is because in addition to the high refractory mullite crystals, clay bricks also contain nearly half of the low-melting amorphous glass phase.
